This office currently provides Civil Legal Services for Lummi Tribal Members and currently appoints attorneys in the areas of Natural Resource Violations, Lummi Housing Evictions, Exclusions, and Child Support Enforcement.

This office also attempts to assist tribal and community members in all civil matters with procedural questions and other matters related to the legal process. If you require more than procedural assistance you must consult with or hire counsel. 

The Lummi Public Defense staff cannot be appointed by this office to represent individuals except as authorized above and would always recommend that every person filing a court matter or defending a suit hire legal counsel if possible.
