Delaney Adams
Delaney joined AIS, specifically European green crab trapping team, July of 2021. She grew up in land-locked Kansas but has been heavily involved in marine ecology organizations since starting at Western Washington University in 2016. As an undergraduate, she compiled and analyzed data on the cooperative feeding behavior of harbor seals in Whatcom Creek. She received a degree in Environmental Science in 2020 from WWU, with an emphasis in Marine Science and a minor in Environmental Justice.
Delaney brings her love of being active and outside in her role as EGC Fisheries Biologist, where she works to coordinate field activities, train new employees, and continue to strengthen trapping efforts within the Lummi Sea Pond. In her time outside of work she loves playing competitive ultimate frisbee, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
