About Us:

The Employment Training Center offers a variety of services in support of training, education, and case management services for gainful employment opportunities to individuals who are enrolled in a federally recognized tribe, consistent with building on their strengths and abilities.

 This is a stop gap program intended for single adults and couples who are unemployed and ineligible for unemployment benefits or cash assistance programs offered through DSHS. The goal of the program is to provide program participants with assistance and a supported strategy for returning to work.

ETC 477 Program

ETC 477 Program combines TANF, WIOA Adult, WIOA Youth, and Native Employment Works to allow one application and one plan for improved delivery of services.

Summer Youth Program

The youth program serving eligible low-income youth, ages 14-24 who face barriers to employment. Service strategies, developed by workforce providers, prepare youth for employment and/or post-secondary education through strong linkages between academic and occupational learning.

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

The TANF program is designed to assist Native Americans in Lummi Nation service area who fit into the Lummi Nation TANF eligibility criteria. The program offers comprehensive case management services with an emphasis relating to job support services, including job search workshops, training, basic skills training, high school/GED, Post Secondary Education, work experience, and support services. The goal of the program is to provide program participants with cash assistance and a supported strategy for returning to work.
