Jamie has worked for the Lummi Nation since 2007 and has been a Water Resources Specialist II since 2012 and a Water Resources Specialist III/Planner since 2023.She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Western Washington University in 2004, with an emphasis in water quality and a minor in geology. Her core responsibilities for the Lummi Water Resources Division include storm water project review and permit compliance monitoring for all large construction projects located on the Lummi Reservation. Jamie is also responsible for reviewing land use applications submitted for development projects located on the Reservation and developing natural resources permit conditions in support of Lummi Land Use Permits. Jamie is a certified boat operator and along with fellow staff assists the Washington State Department of Health to collect water quality samples in Lummi Bay and Portage Bay in support of Tribal shellfish harvests. Jamie is a supporting member of the Lummi Nation Oil Spill Response Team and participates in several industry table-top spill scenarios and Lummi oil spill response exercises each year.
