Skookum Reach

The Skookum Reach project is located on the South Fork Nooksack at River Mile 14 just below the mouth of Skookum Creek.

Beginning in the summer of 2009, the old Saxon road was relocated away from the South Fork Nooksack River. In 2010, the road was paved, and the old road abandoned with the old culvert removed. Three engineered logjams were constructed to meet provisions of FEMA no net rise.
