Clara joined the Lummi Natural Resources team in 2022 as the intertidal shellfish biologist. In this role she works to ensure intertidal shellfish, including manila clams, are harvested at a maximum sustainable level. This is accomplished by coordinating clam dig openings, biotoxin sampling, clam biomass surveys, and looking into climate resilience work to ensure clam harvest persists under changeable climate conditions.
