Deanna Point

Interim Director

Deanna is the Interim Director of Lummi Counseling Services/Lummi Healing Spirit OTP Program. Deanna’s Indian name is Sti’axelwet whom she shares with her mother Ernestine Point and grandfather Ernest Jefferson. Deanna started in Substance Abuse Field in 2003 as a Volunteer and continued her journey with Lummi Counseling in 2010 as Community outreach, Housing Manager & Substance Use Disorder Professional. Deanna has completed her AAT, AAS, and TGBM Bachelor’s degrees at Northwest Indian College. Deanna is now taking on a leadership role with the guidance of her Elders and following her grandfather Ernest Jefferson’s footsteps in the fight against drugs and alcohol. Deanna has grown into her cultural roots and her passion for helping & advocating for community, health, wellness, prevention.
